Cambucha — Privacy Policy

Cambucha is a pixel-art kite-flying score game. This policy explains, plainly, what the app does and does not do with information on your device. The short version: Cambucha does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, because it has no network connection at all.

        Cambucha works entirely offline. There are no accounts, no analytics, no
        advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no server that the app talks to.
      

What Cambucha stores, and where

Everything Cambucha remembers is saved only on your own device, using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. None of it is uploaded anywhere, because the app has no networking code to upload it with.

Flight recordsScore, height, duration and date of each flight you fly, so you can see your season and your best runs.

Kite designsThe paper, rods, bridle and tail you chose for kites you save in the taller.

App settingsSound, music and haptics toggles, your chosen theme, and reminder times.

Custom paperA small 16×16 colour grid generated from a photo you choose, used as a kite pattern.

Camera and photo library

The taller lets you turn a photo of paper or newspaper into a kite's pixel pattern. If you use the camera or pick a photo from your library, Cambucha reads that single image on your device, reduces it to a small grid of colours, and keeps only that grid. The original photo is never saved, never copied elsewhere in the app, and never leaves your device. Camera and photo library access are only requested at the moment you choose to use this feature.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, Cambucha schedules local notifications directly on your device (for example, a daily wind reminder or a Fiestas Patrias reminder). These are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device through Apple's notification system — no notification content is sent to, or generated by, any server.

What Cambucha does not do

It does not collect your name, email address, location, or any identifier.
It does not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising services.
It does not include any third-party tracking software development kits.
It does not create an account or require a sign-in.
It does not share, sell, or transmit any information to anyone, because it has no network connection.

Children's privacy

Cambucha does not collect personal information from anyone, of any age, including children. Because the app is entirely offline and has no accounts, no data about a child (or anyone else) is ever gathered or shared.

Data deletion

Since everything is stored only on your device, deleting the app deletes all of its data with it. You can also reset your season and saved kites at any time from the Settings screen inside the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date above.
